Cool site: Komando.com

Several years ago I listened to the Kim Komando radio program while traveling. The program is about computer, networking and technology tips and help. It targets the normal people, not techies. But I'm a techie and I learn all kinds of neat stuff from it.

I can't get the radio broadcast at home, but they offer podcasts on the web site. They also have a plethora of stuff (downloads and tips, etc.).

Some of the stuff requires a "membership". The membership costs $3 or $4 monthly, or discounts are offered for 6 and 12 months. It's worth it!!

If you aren't interested is $ubscribing, check the web site to find out when they broadcast in your area. Plus you can subscribe to the free newsletter.

My opinion of the Bowflex Treadclimber

I bought a Treadclimber TC5000 from bowflex a couple of years ago. This morning I finally accepted the fact that it is a piece of junk.
From the minute the it arrived we started having problems. It was difficult to put together to start with.

After we assembled it, we start to move it to our workout room, only to discover it wouldn't fit through the door. We had to disassemble it, then reassemble it inside the room.

Then we discover the thing had arrived broken! We called the support line (they have excellent support people!). The support person identified the broken part and i
t was shipped to us.

We get the part and disassemble.. reassemble the thing. Now it works.. for a little while. Some parts started rubbing other parts, and before you know it, we are on t
he phone again. This time they didn't need to send any parts, they just walked up through the fixing process.

This was just the beginning of our Treadclimber adventure. We've had problems constantly.

This morning during my workout it started squealing. I re-lubricate it, with no luck. So I started running around my house for my required cardio. (I do 3 minutes
between weight lifting set) This is totally ridiculous! I'm ready toss it out, accept my loss and buy something that works.

MIA Muscular Dystrophy blogger

Several months ago I stumbled on a blog written by a woman with muscular dystrophy. She started the blog in 2003, when she was first diagnosed. She was faithful to her posting. Today, I noticed her blogging stopped abruptly in April 2007. Her blog is "must" reading for anyone wanting to understand this disease.

My very first decent picture!

I'm a terrible photographer. I'm one of those people that can take a picture of a picture! But on a vacation to New Mexico last month, I finally took a great picture.

What is the best free blog site?

I've been tweeking and playing with my blog format today. I'm kinda
discouraged. I look at other blogs on other sites and there are some
pretty cool formats and tools and stuff.

I suppose I could create a blog on these other sites.. and tweek and play
with my page format again, but I'd probably discover other limitation.

Does anyone have an opinion of complaint about a blog site?

A Great Lost/Found Dog Site

I have a really great lost and found doggie site to share!

Dogdetective.com lists lost and found dogs as well as a "sightings" forum and an doggie Ambler E-Alert notification system. It's pretty cool!

Do dogs get headaches?

I had a bad headache a few nights ago. I took all the drugs, but nothing helped. As I lay in bed with my head pounding, my two doggies were sleeping soundly next to me.

I started thinking (maybe that's why I had a headache :-). Do dogs get headaches? Gosh, they can't really ask for aspirin. Or ask you to shut the shades to block the light.. or turn down the TV. It would be horrible to have a headache and not be able to get any relief.
